Youth Quiz Tournament | February 2025 - Church of the Nazarene Trinidad & Tobago

On Saturday 1st February 2025, the District NYI Bible Quiz Ministry hosted its third quiz
event for the 2024-2025 Luke cycle. The excitement was palpable in the atmosphere as this
event saw added attractions, with eight teams across Trinidad and Tobago competing
tournament style in 2 competition pools. Winners from each pool emerged to compete in the
team finals. Teams hailed from the following churches: Arima, Bethany, Lowlands, Nazarene
Worship Centre, Oropune and Point Fortin.

After a morning of intense quizzing in 2 competition rooms at Nazarene Worship Centre, the
finalists were announced as Bethany Guardians (Bethany Church of the Nazarene) and Alive in
Christ (Arima Church of the Nazarene). The teams battled it out for first place, and at the
end, Alive in Christ emerged victorious, retaining their winning streak since September 2024.
The winning team was presented with a Challenge Trophy, sponsored by local company
Jemmac Repairs.

Prizes were also distributed to the Top 5 quizzers based on their individual rankings as
follows:

1st: Harmony Nedd (Nazarene Worship Centre)
2nd (tie): Eden Gyan (Oropune Community Church of the Nazarene)
Sophia James (Bethany Church of the Nazarene)
Jaeden Villarroel (Lowlands Nazarene House of Praise)
5th: Matthew Chester (Arima Church of the Nazarene)

Results from this competition will be used to select quizzers to comprise 2 All-Star teams
will represent Trinidad and Tobago at Q2025 in June (USA/ Canada Region Bible Quizzing Finals
