Machaceh House

A Place of Refuge

A vision is birthed

In 2008, a vision was birthed in the heart of Rev. Victor George (former District Superintendent, Church of the Nazarene, Trinidad & Tobago) to provide a home of refuge for abused children – a place that is safe to recover from maltreatment and neglect, to give them hope for the future and assist them in realizing their fullest potential.

With a start-up capital of $98,000TTD , the Sangre Grande local church proceeded to start the planning and approval process for the construction of a 9,700 square foot facility to accomodate children from newborn to 18 years old.

Since 2019, a board of directors have been charged with the responsibility to govern the construction and operation of Machaceh House.

The organization was incorporated in 2020 by the Ministry of Legal Affairs as a non-profit company under section 8 of the Company Act 81:01 of Trinidad and Tobago.

Our vision “To Develop strong, loving families by creating a safe, caring, learning Christian environment for children and youth, transforming minds and building character”
